CKS is fortunate to welcome four new teachers to our teaching team! Each teacher has distinct & exceptional gifts that makes them a blessing to our school!
Ashley Kelly is our new 3-day lead teacher, and we are blown away by her confidence, kindness, and grace! Ashley has a Master of Education in Teacher Leadership from Seattle Pacific University and has been in education as a teacher for 8 years! Not only does her experience and education add so much to her classroom, but the way she interacts with each student and helps them to feel like the most special child in the room is truly a gift to our school. When Ashley is not teaching, she loves to make memories with her family. She loves being a teacher because “I just love kids! I love helping facilitate discovery and wonder for children within the classroom setting. It’s such a privilege to watch and be an active part of each kids’ development as they grow into the people God created them to be!” Ashley you are a blessing to our school!
Christine Tsai is a new assistant teacher in our 3-day classes. She has her Master of Business Administration from Taipei University, as well as multiple years of experience working with children. She is a favorite volunteer at Churchome with Churchkids, and last year she was a substitute teacher here at City Kids School. Christine has two sweet daughters! When Christine is not teaching, she loves “to spend time with my two lovely daughters”. Her favorite part of teaching is “I love to hear the imaginary stories from the kiddos and those stories really make my day!” Christine is naturally gifted when it comes to knowing how to care for each child and make them feel loved. She gets down at their level to ensure they know they are safe and supported. Christine, we are so thankful to have you on our teaching team!
Nadia Madalina is a new assistant teacher in our 3-day classes. Nadia has been teaching for 3 years and is such a beautiful addition to City Kids School. She is kind, strong, and amazing at guiding students as they explore and learn more about themselves and their environment. When she is not teaching Nadia loves to spend quality time with her family and friends. She also loves to read! What Nadia loves most about being a teacher is “how a child lights up when they learn something new and getting to know each child’s sweet personality, while helping to guide them to Jesus.” Her love for Jesus and people shines!! Nadia we are so grateful to have you as part of our team!
Cody Hamar is our new Kindergarten teacher, and although she is new to our school, she is not new to teaching. She has been teaching for 8 years and has her master’s degree in teaching from Northwest University as well as her National Board Certification as an Early Childhood Generalist! Along with Cody’s impressive educational background, the positive way she interacts and cares deeply for each student is impressive as well! She is absolutely a natural, and her students are drawn to her confident and kind teaching style! When she is not teaching Cody enjoys spending time with her husband and her sweet daughter! Her favorite part of being a teacher is that “you get to laugh all day long!” Cody, we are so happy to have you a part of our teaching team!
